Start with what you already have

Send the basics. A coordinator will route your case and come back to you with the next step. You do not need a confirmed diagnosis or a decision yet.

Who we are

A coordination company, not a hospital

BioBridge is a medical coordination and patient-support services company registered in Shanghai. We sit between international patients and Shanghai's tertiary and private hospitals: we prepare the case so the hospital can assess it properly, and we keep the process legible from the first message to the last follow-up.

What we do

Seven services, one coordinator

Each service can be taken on its own. Most cases use the full sequence.

01

Records translation & triage

We convert reports, imaging and pathology summaries into readable English, then route your case to the departments that actually own it — so the right specialist opens the file first time.

02

Written specialist opinion

You receive a written English opinion with a recommended pathway, a realistic timeframe and an indicative cost — before you travel and before you commit to anything.

03

Itemised quotation

Hospital medical fees, our coordination fee and third-party costs are listed separately. No bundled numbers, no arithmetic you cannot audit.

04

Admission & scheduling

Department, admission date, deposit and payment steps confirmed in writing, with the hospital's own requirements stated up front.

05

Interpretation on site

A coordinator accompanies you at registration, ward rounds and discharge, so questions are asked in the room and answers are written down.

06

Visa, travel & insurance

Support letters and invitation paperwork for the visa application, plus direct-billing coordination with insurers and third-party administrators where your policy allows it.

07

Discharge & follow-up

A structured discharge summary, a medication list with dosing and monitoring notes, and a dated follow-up plan — delivered to you and to your referring doctor.

Also available

Second opinion only

A standalone written specialist opinion with no admission commitment. Useful when the decision you need is clinical, not logistical.

Also available

Records translation only

Certified English translation and archiving of your medical file, with no hospital involvement. You keep the originals.

How it works

Four stages, no guesswork

You always know which stage you are in, what we are waiting for, and what it costs.

1

Send

You send reports and imaging by the secure channel we give you. We confirm receipt and completeness in writing, usually within one business day.

2

Assess

We translate, archive and route the file to the right department, and tell you which specialty is being approached and why.

3

Quote

You get a written opinion with a recommended pathway and an itemised quote. You decide whether to proceed — with no obligation at this stage.

4

Admit & follow up

Admission, interpretation, discharge documentation and a dated follow-up plan, all handled by the same named coordinator.

Who we work with

Hospitals we coordinate with

We work with Shanghai hospitals and departments that routinely accept international patients — including public tertiary hospitals and private hospitals with international patient departments. We hold no ownership or control over any of them, and we do not represent any hospital.

Where we describe a hospital's capability, it is because that hospital has confirmed it to us in writing for that specific service. We never present a hospital's reputation as our own.

Focus areas

Where our coordination work is heaviest

We deliberately concentrate on the complex end of the market, where the diagnosis is easy to obtain and hard to act on. If your case needs more than one department to agree, that is exactly our use case.

Practical information

How to send records, what it costs, what is not included

How to send your records

  • Reports — pathology, imaging reports and consultation notes. PDF or photo is fine if text is legible.
  • Imaging — DICOM files where possible (ask the clinic for the disc or upload link); screenshots of film are not usable for a written opinion.
  • Context — date and place of diagnosis, current medication, and any prior treatment or surgery.
  • Deadline — the treatment window you are working with, if there is one. This changes how we triage.
  • Channel — we send you a secure link by email. Please do not email medical documents to a personal mailbox.

What it costs

  • Hospital medical fees — quoted by the hospital, based on your actual case. Not set by us.
  • Our coordination fee — a fixed fee, disclosed in the written quote before you commit. It is never linked to a clinical result or to a supplier's payment.
  • Third-party costs — paid by you directly: visa fees, flights, accommodation, translation certification, and any implant, consumable or drug costs quoted by the hospital.
  • Timing — the written opinion and quote arrive together, so you can compare what you would pay against what you would get before deciding.

What we do not do

  • We do not diagnose, prescribe or treat, and we do not give medical advice.
  • We do not guarantee admission, a specific date, a price from the hospital, or any clinical outcome.
  • We do not accept undisclosed payments from pharmaceutical, device or insurance companies.
  • We do not decide your treatment plan — the treating physicians do.
  • We do not publish patient cases, testimonials or outcomes without written consent.

What is not included in our fee

  • Airfare and accommodation, unless separately quoted and confirmed in writing.
  • Visa and permit fees.
  • Medical malpractice or travel insurance premiums.
  • The cost of clinical care itself — that is billed by the hospital, not by BioBridge.
  • Any service not named in your written quote. If it is not on the quote, we are not charging for it.
Compliance statement

What this page is, and what it is not

BioBridge provides coordination and patient-support services only. We are not a medical institution, hospital, clinic, insurer, travel agency or treating physician, and nothing on this page should be read as medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation for your individual case.

All clinical decisions — including whether to treat, which pathway to take, which medicines to prescribe and whether to proceed with any procedure — are made exclusively by the licensed physicians at the hospital that treats you. Our role is to make that process navigable for someone who does not read Chinese, does not know the hospital system, and cannot read the original records.

Outcomes vary. Case complexity, hospital capacity, scheduling, individual clinical factors and the nature of the condition all affect timelines and costs. No result, no treatment, no admission and no price can be promised or guaranteed by us or by anyone else. Any claim of a guaranteed outcome, cure or fixed price would be false.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing any hospital. References to hospital capability describe services those hospitals confirmed to us in writing for the specific request concerned. No hospital has endorsed BioBridge, this page, or our services.

Information on this page is general. It does not replace an assessment of your own records by a qualified physician. If you need an answer about your specific case, ask for a written opinion — that is exactly what our written specialist opinion service is for.

Privacy & data handling

Health information is sensitive personal information

Medical records, imaging and test results are among the most sensitive data you hold. This section states plainly what we collect, where it goes and how to get it deleted.

What we collect

  • Clinical material you send us — reports, imaging, pathology, medication lists and your description of your case.
  • Contact details — name, email, phone, preferred language.
  • Logistics data — nationality, travel dates and passport details, only where a hospital or visa process requires them.
  • Cost estimates — the figures we obtain on your behalf so you can compare them.

How it is stored

  • Access-controlled storage — restricted to your named coordinator and the staff on your case. Encryption in transit and at rest.
  • No advertising use — your health data is never sold, never used for advertising or audience building, and never used to train AI models.
  • Role-based sharing — a hospital, translator, insurer or third-party administrator receives only the minimum information required for their part of your case.
  • Retention — we keep records for the period required by applicable law and hospital documentation rules, then delete or anonymise them.

How it crosses borders

  • If you contact us from outside mainland China, your records are transferred to servers located in mainland China in order to be processed.
  • Such transfers are limited to what is necessary for your case, and access is limited to staff who need it.
  • Where we send your file to a hospital or specialist, they act as an independent controller of that data under their own privacy policy.

Your rights & how to reach us

  • Access, correction, deletion — you may request a copy of the data we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, where we are permitted to do so.
  • Withdraw consent — you may withdraw consent for further processing at any time by writing to us; this does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
  • Complaints — if you are unhappy with how we handled your data, write to us first; you also have the right to complain to the relevant supervisory authority.
  • Privacy contact — privacy@bio-bridge.win
Questions

What patients ask us first

Is BioBridge a hospital?
No. We are a coordination and patient-support company. We prepare and route your case, obtain written opinions and quotations, arrange admission and interpretation, and structure the follow-up. The doctors who treat you are the licensed physicians at the Shanghai hospital you are admitted to. We have no ownership of, and no relationship with, any hospital.
How much will this cost?
We give you three separate figures: the hospital's medical fees, our fixed coordination fee, and third-party costs you pay directly (visa, travel, accommodation, certification, and any implant or drug costs the hospital quotes). The written quote arrives with the written opinion, so you can see what you would pay and what you would get before you commit. Our fee does not change depending on how your treatment turns out.
How fast can you respond?
Our first written response is normally within 48–72 hours of receiving a complete set of records. That is our coordination response time — the time to read, translate, route and reply. It is not a clinical timeline and not a treatment timeline. Hospital assessment and scheduling are governed by the hospital and by clinical factors we do not control.
Can you guarantee treatment, admission or a price?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. We can confirm in writing what a department has told us about availability, process and indicative cost. We cannot guarantee that admission will happen, that a price will not change, or that a clinical outcome will be a particular one.
Do you take payment from drug or device companies?
No undisclosed payments. Our only revenue is the coordination fee disclosed in your quote. We do not take manufacturer referral fees, and our fee is never linked to a clinical result or to a product being prescribed.
Can you help with the visa?
We provide the medical documentation and invitation letters hospitals issue for the visa application, and we explain the steps for your nationality. We do not submit visa applications on your behalf, and visa fees are not included in our fee. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your application.
Can I get an opinion without travelling?
Yes. The written specialist opinion is a standalone service. You send records, we obtain a written opinion with a recommended pathway and indicative cost, and you decide afterwards whether you want to travel.
Who will actually be handling my case?
One named coordinator stays with your case from the first message to the last follow-up, and you are told who that person is. You will have a direct channel to them — no ticket queue, no re-explaining your history at every step.
How is my information protected?
Health data is treated as sensitive personal information: access-controlled storage, encryption in transit and at rest, role-based sharing, no advertising use, and a documented deletion process on request. The full details are in the Privacy & data handling section.
